HEBRON, May 29, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Friday imposed a curfew on the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, and fired teargas, causing dozens of Palestinians to suffer from tear gas inhalation.
Media activist Mohammad Awad told WAFA that Israeli forces stormed the town, imposed a curfew and prevented shop owners, pharmacies and bakeries from opening.
He added that occupation forces also barred residents from performing Friday prayers and fired tear gas canisters toward homes, causing dozens to suffer suffocation.
Israeli forces further intensified their measures against residents by blocking more than 30 side roads with dirt mounds and concrete blocks. Several Palestinians were also briefly detained in the center of the town and subjected to abuse.
