GAZA, April 8, 2014 (WAFA) – The
Israeli naval forces on Monday opened fire at Palestinian fishers’ boats off the
coast of Gaza, causing damage to a number of boats, according to local sources.
A fisherman told WAFA an Israeli gunboat opened fire at Palestinian fishermen while they were fishing within the six miles zone allowed for them to fish in off the coast of Gaza in al-Sodanyeh area, to the northwest of Gaza, causing damage to some of their boats.
No
injuries were reported in the incident.
To be noted, the Israeli navy
continues to target Palestinian fishermen almost daily and imposes restrictions
on their allowed fishing area.
