Palestinian UN envoy signs commemorative board marking 80th anniversary of UN Charter adoption

NEW YORK, June 15, 2026 (WAFA) – The Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, signed the commemorative board marking 80 Years of the Adoption of the United Nations Charter.

The United Nations provided an opportunity for 195 states, including 193 member states, as well as the State of Palestine and the Vatican as observer states, to participate in signing the board.

Mansour inscribed the word “Hope,” in reference to the principles embodied in the UN Charter.
