Called for more effective international action to halt colonists’ crimes targeting 24 villages over four days

Urged the guarantor states of the Gaza ceasefire agreement to uphold their responsibilities regarding the occupation’s ongoing violations and crimes

Directed the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to develop the remote learning system, integrate it sustainably with basic education, and take necessary steps to compensate for educational loss

Stressed that student safety is the top priority above all other considerations

RAMALLAH, March 24, 2026 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa opened the weekly cabinet session on Tuesday, briefing members on political and diplomatic efforts to mobilize increased international pressure to halt the escalating crimes of the occupation and terrorist colonist gangs, which, over the past four days, attacked 24 Palestinian villages in 11 separate waves.

The attacks resulted in 23 injuries and caused damage to 17 homes and facilities, as well as 26 vehicles and a car scrapyard, through acts of arson and vandalism, with the attacks primarily concentrated in the governorates of Nablus, Ramallah, Hebron, and Bethlehem.

The Cabinet renewed its call on the international community to take serious and immediate measures to halt these crimes and hold the perpetrators accountable, directing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all our diplomatic missions to intensify their efforts with countries worldwide and international organizations in particular.

The cabinet also warned of the dangers of ongoing occupation violations in the Gaza Strip amid daily bombardment and accompanying massacres, as well as documented detentions and attacks on patients and travelers at Rafah Crossing, alongside worsening indicators of hidden famine.

It urged the international community, particularly the guarantor states of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, to assume their responsibilities and take urgent action to halt these violations, ensuring that the occupation is held accountable for its escalating breaches in recent weeks.

The session also addressed the escalating violence against women and children, particularly crimes committed by the occupation, stressing the importance of documenting and exposing these violations internationally, alongside addressing societal violations.

Amid ongoing threats from projectiles and shell fragments, the cabinet affirmed that student safety remains a top priority over all other considerations, stressing adherence to precautionary measures and instructions from competent authorities. It directed the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to advance the distance learning system, integrate it sustainably with basic education, and take necessary steps to compensate for educational loss.

The cabinet also approved an agreement to strengthen the Palestinian national statistical system with support from the European Union, aiming to enhance the Central Bureau of Statistics’ data infrastructure and employ data science and artificial intelligence.
