RAMALLAH, November 25, 2025 (WAFA) – The Palestinian government announced on Monday the approval of more than 210 development projects across the West Bank, including Jerusalem, Gaza, and Lebanese refugee camps.
The projects aim to support key sectors such as education, public works, local governance, vocational training, health, economic empowerment, and community and rural development, with a total value of approximately $72 million, funded by Arab and Islamic financial institutions.
The announcement came during a ceremony to sign agreements for the projects, held under the patronage and in the presence of Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa. The event included representatives from the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, the Islamic Development Bank in Jeddah, the Prime Minister’s advisor for Arab and Islamic funds, several ministers, national and civil society institutions, and representatives from over 60 local authorities, including municipalities, village councils, and refugee camps.
Through the Al-Aqsa Fund managed by the Islamic Development Bank, $32.7 million will support the construction and completion of five government schools at a cost of around $7 million, the construction of 13 kilometers of roads for $7.45 million, the establishment of six model computer centers benefiting 720 young men and women annually in refugee camps for $540,000, and the rehabilitation of infrastructure projects in 70 local authorities at a cost of $12.85 million.
In addition, the Tarabot program will promote resilience, recovery, and development in remote communities through emergency response in the West Bank and Jerusalem, with an initial $2 million as the first phase of a three-year program.
The Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development will contribute $38.5 million, supporting 10 projects worth $3 million within the Al-Aqsa Fund portfolio for education, infrastructure, and health, five projects costing $2.177 million for refugee camps in Lebanon, 38 emergency relief projects in Gaza valued at approximately $13.5 million, 16 projects in Jerusalem at $3.831 million for infrastructure, education, health, and community development, and 65 projects in the West Bank totaling $15.233 million across various sectors.
Prime Minister Mustafa emphasized that these projects represent part of the government’s broader national development and reform program, being implemented through ten key initiatives covering major sectors. He stressed the continued commitment to strengthening the resilience of the Palestinian people despite all challenges and obstacles, affirming that the people’s will to live will always surpass the occupier’s attempts at killing, destruction, and displacement.
The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to the Arab and Islamic funds for their ongoing support for the State of Palestine, and to the advisory team and government officials for their efforts in effectively implementing these initiatives and contributing to the building of the homeland.
