GENEVA September 16, 2025 (WAFA) – A United Nations commission of inquiry concluded on Tuesday that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza and that senior Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, incited these actions.
The commission cited examples including the scale of the killings, the obstruction of aid, forced displacement, and the destruction of a fertility center to support its findings of genocide, adding its voice to those of human rights groups and others who have reached the same conclusion.
“Genocide is taking place in Gaza,” said Navi Pillay, chair of the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory and former judge of the International Criminal Court.
“Responsibility for these horrific crimes lies with the Israeli authorities at the highest levels, who have led a campaign of genocide for nearly two years with the specific goal of eliminating Palestinians in Gaza,” she added.
