Qatar calls on int’l community to confront starvation policy in Gaza

DOHA, March 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani stressed Monday the need for the international community to confront the starvation policy pursued by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip, according to Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Speaking during a meeting with Sigrid Kaag, Under-Secretary-General and UN Special Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs and Reconstruction in Gaza, Qatari Prime Minister Al Thani stressed: “the need for the international community to shoulder its responsibilities to address the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza and to firmly confront the starvation policy pursued by the Israeli occupation in its brutal war against the brotherly Palestinian people.”

The two officials “discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, particularly the challenges facing humanitarian action, and ways to cooperate to deliver humanitarian aid sustainably and without hindrance to all areas of the Gaza Strip.”
