NABLUS, February 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Seven Palestinian citizens were injured today when Israeli occupation forces, including undercover troops, raided the Old City of Nablus, sparking confrontations with local residents.
According to the Ministry of Health, the seven individuals were injured by live ammunition. Two of the injured are in moderate-to-serious condition, while the others sustained light injuries. During the incursion, Israeli forces surrounded a home in the Old City, and sounds of explosions and heavy gunfire were heard during the siege.
Earlier in the day, the Palestine Red Crescent Society in Nablus confirmed that a 60-year-old man and an 18-year-old young man were injured by live bullets to their feet, and two others were injured by shrapnel during the Israeli offensive. In addition to the gunfire, Israeli forces also deployed tear gas canisters containing toxic substances.
Meantime, Israeli forces detained a young man from the Old City whose identity remains unknown.
