BETHLEHEM, February 15, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation Saturday conducted multiple raids across the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
They said that the occupying forces barged their way into the Dheisheh refugee camp, and deployed along the main street, triggering confrontations.
The gun-toting soldiers fired barrages of concussion grenades and tear gas canisters, but without causing any injuries.
The occupying forces conducted a similar raid into al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem, and used concussion grenades and tear gas to repel protestors, without causing any injuries.
In the Nablus governorate, Fouad Hassan, an anti-colonial settlement activist, stormed Qusra town, and fired barrages of gunfire and tear gas, sparking confrontations.
He confirmed a similar raid in Qaryout village, southeast of Nablus, triggering clashes, during which the soldiers fired volleys of gunfire and tear gas.
The soldiers chased two minors and eventually detained them.
In the Hebron governorate, the heavily armed soldiers showed up at the family house of Iyad Hreibat, who was released as part of the sixth batch of prisoners under the Gaza ceasefire agreement, in Dura town, and fired concussion grenades and tear gas toward civilians, resulting in several suffocation cases.
The soldiers deliberately rammed their military vehicle into several Palestinian-registered vehicles in the town, resulting in damage.
In the Tulkarm governorate, the occupying forces conducted separate raids in Kafr al-Labbad, Anabta and Bal‘a towns, opened gunfire towards residents and obstructed vehicles’ movement.
In the Ramallah governorate, the forces raided Deir Jarir and set up a checkpoint in the downtown part of the village, but there was no immediate information on any detention case.
The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
