BETHLEHEM, February 2, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces set up a military checkpoint at the entrance of the village of Al-Manshiya, south of Bethlehem, on Sunday morning, restricting the movement of Palestinian commuters.
According to WAFA correspondent, a unit of Israeli soldiers was stationed at the village entrance, where they conducted searches of Palestinian vehicles and checked the identification documents of passengers.
The checkpoint has caused significant disruption, as the entrance to Al-Manshiya serves as the only access point connecting the rural areas south of Bethlehem to the city and its central services. Residents have expressed frustration over the restrictions, which have become a frequent occurrence in the region.
This development comes amid ongoing Israeli military restrictions that impact Palestinian freedom of movement and daily life in the occupied West Bank.
