RAMALLAH, January 30, 2025 (WAFA) – Two Palestinian youths were injured by live gunfire, and a child was detained on Thursday evening as Israeli forces raided the village of Kobar, northwest of Ramallah.
Palestinian security sources told WAFA that Israeli forces stormed the village, firing stun grenades and tear gas, sparking confrontations with residents. During the clashes, Israeli soldiers opened fire with live ammunition, wounding two young men in their lower limbs.
The same sources confirmed that the Israeli forces detained 13-year-old Kinan Bassam Nabhan Barghouthi during the raid.
In a related incident, Israeli forces also entered the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah, as former detainee Mo'men Mahmoud Hamed returned home after his release from Israeli prisons. His release was part of the prisoner exchange deal under the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
