RAFAH, January 26, 2025 (WAFA) – A Palestinian man was killed this morning by Israeli gunfire near Martyrs Square in the center of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Our reporters on the ground confirmed that the man was shot by Israeli snipers stationed along the so-called Philadelphi Corridor.
Since yesterday, dozens of Palestinians have been injured while waiting to return to the northern Gaza Strip, a return that had been scheduled for the previous day. However, Israeli occupation forces have continued to obstruct their efforts, preventing their movement.
Israel waged a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, killing at least 47,283 Palestinians and injuring over 111,472 others.
Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
