JENIN, January 24, 2025 (WAFA) - Israeli occupation forces raided on Friday the home of Palestinian detainee, Zakaria Zbeidi, in Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank. Zbeidi is one of the six Palestinian freedom fighters who escaped from the heavily fortified Gilboa prison in the north of Israel in September 2021, after digging a tunnel from their cell to outside the prison wall. All six escapees had been re-captured.
WAFA correspondent reported that the occupation forces stormed Zbeidi's home in the Jaberiyat neighborhood in Jenin city, assaulted his family and handcuffed his wife, daughter and 14-year-old son, who was also blindfolded.
The occupation forces have been holding the family outside in their home’s yard for over an hour and a half, according to the correspondent. Additionally, forces raided the homes of Zakaria's brothers, Yahya and Jibril, destroying their contents and causing extensive damage.
