JENIN, January 22, 2025 (WAFA) – Four Palestinians were injured, including one critically, by Israeli forces’ live ammunition during their ongoing onslaught on the city of Jenin and its refugee camp, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS).
The PRCS reported that a Palestinian resident sustained critical injuries after being shot by Israeli forces with live bullets near the Cinema roundabout in Jenin. Israeli soldiers also shot and injured a 50-year-old man in the Khillat al-Souha area of the Jenin camp. Additionally, two other residents were injured: one was run over, while the other was struck by shrapnel to the head.
The injured were transferred to a hospital for treatment.
On Tuesday, Israeli occupation forces, accompanied by bulldozers, drones, and warplanes, stormed the city of Jenin and its refugee camp, launching an unprecedented military onslaught. The initial death toll since the onset of the aggression has reached 10, with nearly 40 others injured.
The Israeli military announced yesterday the launch of a large-scale offensive on Jenin and its refugee camp, coinciding with threats from Israeli government ministers to escalate tensions in the West Bank.
