BEIRUT, November 10, 2024 (WAFA) — At least 40 Lebanese citizens have been killed and dozens more injured following a series of Israeli airstrikes and artillery bombardments across various regions of Lebanon on Sunday.

The strikes caused extensive damage to buildings, infrastructure, and public facilities, leaving entire neighborhoods in ruins, according to local and media reports.

The deadliest attacks occurred in the town of Almat, located in the Mount Lebanon Governorate, where at least 20 people were killed in a horrific Israeli attack targeting a residential complex.

Another 17 fatalities were reported in the southern town of Deir Qanoun Ras al-Ain, while three others were killed in the coastal town of Addloun as a result of the indiscriminate Israeli attacks.

Simultaneously, Israeli warplanes and artillery shelled several towns across southern Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley, including the cities of Baalbek, Tyre, and Nabatieh, as well as numerous villages such as Adloun, Sohmor, Mashghara, Labaya, Khyam, Zawtar al-Gharbiyeh, and several others in both the south and the Beqaa region.

The bombardment also targeted the villages of Qalila, Ain Baa’l, Sreine, Boudai, Saida, Al-Wazzani, Marjayoun, Dhayra, Kafr Tebnit, Tayr Harfa, and others in the southern and eastern parts of the country.

Yesterday, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced that the documented number of fatalities since the beginning of the Israeli assault on Lebanon in October 2023 had risen to 3,136, with 13,979 others reported wounded.
