STOCKHOLM, Sunday, August 25, 2024 (WAFA) - Hundreds of people demonstrated in front of the Israeli Embassy in the Swedish capital, Stockholm, in support of Palestine and in condemnation of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the war-torn Gaza Strip.
The protesters called for an immediate end to the genocide committed against the Palestinian people in Gaza. They held banners with slogans such as "Free Palestine, Free Gaza", "Stop the Genocide" and "Boycott Israel".
The protesters also chanted slogans such as "Children are being killed in Gaza" and "Freedom for Palestine", and accused the United States of being complicit in the war crimes committed by Israel against the Palestinian people.
Since the start of the Israeli occupation's aerial, ground and sea aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, more than 40,334 people, mostly children and women, have been killed and over 93,356 others have been wounded. More than 10,000 people were reported missing.
