ANKARA, Tuesday, August 13, 2024 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas is visiting the Turkish capital, Ankara, on Thursday, in response to an official invitation to deliver a speech before the General Assembly of the Turkish Parliament, in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
An extraordinary meeting of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey will be held on Thursday at the invitation of the speaker of the Grand National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmuş.
The President is set to deliver a speech during the extraordinary meeting which is held to express the strong support of the Turkish Parliament to the Palestinian people and their cause and to ensure that the voice of our oppressed people is heard.
President’s speech will cover efforts exerted to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
During his visit to the Turkish parliament, the President will also hold a meeting with Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, at the parliament building and a bilateral meeting with Kurtulmuş.
