RAMALLAH, Tuesday, August 13, 2024 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said that the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist colonists under the protection of the Israeli occupation police comes within the framework of the ongoing targeting of Jerusalem and its Christian and Islamic sanctities, and in preparation for imposing complete control over it and Judaizing it, which constitutes a violation of international law and international legitimacy resolutions, including UNESCO resolutions.

The Ministry called in a statement issued today on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities towards the suffering of Palestinian people in general and Jerusalem and its sanctities in particular, as it is an integral part of the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967.

It indicated that it is following up on these provocative stormings with the pillars of the international community, whether at the bilateral or multilateral level, and warns of their dangerous repercussions on the conflict arena and the region as a whole.
