RAMALLAH, Wednesday, July 10, 2024 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa has affirmed the critical need for coordination among international partners, donors, and UN agencies alongside the government to achieve early recovery and address urgent humanitarian needs arising from Israel's genocidal war on Gaza and its repercussions in the West Bank.
Speaking at a key meeting with international partners in Ramallah today, Mustafa stated that the day following the cessation of war should see a unified Palestine under a single authority and government. He stressed the necessity of ensuring aid reaches those in need and avoiding duplication of efforts.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of working with international partners as one team with a unified plan, rejecting any transitional period that could lead to further complexity and chaos.
He underscored that the government has been responsible for Gaza since the establishment of the Palestinian Authority, providing essential services such as healthcare, education, water, electricity, and various other services to the people of the region.
"Despite Israel's ongoing withholding of Palestinian funds, the government remains committed to fulfilling its obligations toward Gaza," said Mustafa.
In response, international partners affirmed their support for the government's vision of collaborative action and coordinated efforts in the areas of early recovery, humanitarian relief, and reconstruction.
They further expressed their rejection of Israel's reoccupation of Gaza, and reiterated their steadfast support for achieving a two-state solution.
