NABLUS, Friday, September 22, 2023 (WAFA) - The Israeli army today attacked the peaceful anti-settlement weekly march in the town of Beit Dajan to the east of Nablus, said local sources.

Sources said that Israeli forces cracked down on protesters and attacked them with tear gas canisters and stun grenades. However, no injuries were reported.

WAFA correspondent said Israeli forces used Medical Relief Society paramedics as a human shield and tried to take the ambulance key away but failed after being confronted by the medical staff.

Heeding calls by the people’s committee for the defense of land in Beit Dajan, the Commission against the Wall and settlement, and the Factional Coordination Committee in Nablus, Participants rallied in defense of land threatened with confiscation by the Israeli authorities in the said town.

Palestinians there have been protesting against the theft of Palestinian land for the benefit of settlement expansion.
