GAZA, July 17, 2026 (WAFA) – At least eight Palestinians were killed, and 20 others were injured on Friday evening in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a gathering of civilians in the Al-Balata Market area of the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Medical sources said the strike hit Palestinians participating in the funeral procession of a Palestinian who had been killed earlier, killing several people and injuring dozens of others with wounds of varying severity.

The bodies of 14 Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks, along with 37 injured individuals, had also arrived at hospitals across the Gaza Strip since dawn on Friday.
