QALQILIA, September 22, 2023 (WAFA) - At least three Palestinians were shot and injured with rubber-coated steel bullets as Israeli forces suppressed the weekly anti-settlement march in Kafr Qaddoum village to the north of Qalqilia, according to a local activist.
The coordinator of the popular resistance committee in the village, Murad Ishtawi, told WAFA that Israeli occupation forces attacked the march and residents’' homes with live ammunition and rubber-coated metal bullets, shooting and injuring three youths with rubber rounds.
They were all treated at the scene.
For years, villagers from Kafr Qaddum and neighboring villages have been protesting every Friday and Saturday against illegal Israeli settlements, and calling for reopening the village’s main road, which has been sealed off by the occupation authorities since 2002.
