Weather: Hot conditions continue, despite drop in temperature

RAMALLAH, Sunday, July 30, 2023 (WAFA) – Very hot conditions are expected to continue today in Palestine despite a drop in temperature, which remains slightly above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, and active at night, and sea waves are low to medium.

The temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 19°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 29°C and a low of 18°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 41°C and a low of 25°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 24°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Unseasonably hot conditions are expected on Monday as temperature rises again to become 3°C above the seasonal average, said the PMD.

A slight drop in temperature is expected for Tuesday, yet remains above the seasonal average by 2°C. no change in temperature or weather conditions is expected for Wednesday.
