NABLUS, Friday, July 14, 2023 (WAFA) – About 20 Palestinian civilians suffocated from teargas fired by Israeli occupation forces last night during an Israeli army raid into the village of Sebastia, to the northwest of Nablus, according to local sources.
Dozens of Israeli occupation soldiers broke into the village after midnight, said the sources, and fire teargas indiscriminately, causing suffocation cases among the local residents, including an elderly woman.
The village has been a target of almost daily raids by Israeli occupation forces and settler militias, who are seeking to take control over a Roman-era archeological site in the village and ultimately make it a no-go zone for the native Palestinian population.
