RAMALLAH, Monday, June 5, 2023 (WAFA) - Ramallah district governor, Laila Ghannam, briefed a delegation from the British consulate on the consequences of the attacks carried out by Israeli settlers and the occupation army against Palestinians and their properties a few days in the town of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah.
This came during a field tour carried out today by the delegation, accompanied by the governor of Ramallah, in the said town.
The delegation met with the town residents and listened to the details of the attacks carried out by settlers against the town, which resulted in the injury of several people, the destruction of vehicles, and the burning of crops.
The governor called on Britain and the world countries that stand idly by and watch the suffering of our people to take a clear position toward the crimes of settlers and the army and to not settle for report writing.
She said that the town of Deir Dibwan and al-Mughayyir and Nabi Saleh villages are part of hundreds of villages and towns that are subjected to settlers’ attacks under the full protection of Israeli forces.
She stressed that the upsurge of settlers’ attacks against Palestinians and their properties will not deflect the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their lands.
She further pointed out that one single settler was able to seize a plot of land owned by a Palestinian resident in Deir Dibwan, erect a tent there, brought his sheep, and violated the area under the pretext of grazing his sheep, noting that this tent has become a launching pad for settlers’ attacks.
