RAMALLAH, Tuesday, May 16, 2023 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces detained this morning and last night at least 25 Palestinians in raids across the occupied territories, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) and other sources.
It said seven of the detainees were from Aqbat Jabr refugee camp in Jericho, east of the West Bank, who were rounded up during a raid of the camp that resulted in the injury from a live bullet of one resident.
Four others, all siblings, were detained following an army raid of the northern West Bank city of Jenin during which Palestinians confronted the soldiers and in the insuring clashes four were Palestinian youths were injured, one of them reported to be critical with bullet wounds to the abdomen. Another one was detained in Qabatia town, near Jenin.
Four Palestinian youths were also detained in occupied East Jerusalem, four others in the Bethlehem district, including two from Dheisheh refugee camp, and three from the Ramallah governorate, said the sources.
