RAMALLAH, Saturday, February 4, 2023 (WAFA) – A total of 68 Palestinian political prisoners incarcerated in the Israeli prison of Naqab are suffering from inhumane imprisonment conditions, including being deprived of clothing and blankets, today said the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
PPS said in a statement that the prisoners there have also not been able to take a shower since January 28, and are also deprived of going out to the prison yard, let alone the surprise raids on their rooms by the Israeli repression units.
The statement pointed out that the prisoners are suffering from severe cold at this particular time of the year, as the prisoners have only blankets that do not protect them from the chilly weather conditions.
In addition, PPS said the Israeli Prison Service deliberately gives the prisoners badly cooked food, and that it only gives them half the amount of bread that they need for their daily meals.
The group pointed out that despite the efforts that have been going on for days to end their suffering, the administration continues its policy of maltreatment against them, and does not respond to their demands.
