RAMALLAH, Thursday, November 19, 2020 (WAFA) – Presidency spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh today stated that labeling Israeli settlement products as “Made in Israel” won’t legitimize the settlements.
“The US administration’s step to label products imported from Israeli colonial settlements won’t legitimize the settlements, which will be gone sooner or later,” Abu Rudeineh.
He slammed the US administration’s decision to do so as “a flagrant defiance of all international legitimacy resolutions” and as a “continuation of this decisions of this administration, which insists on actively participating in the occupation of the Palestinian territories.”
He made these comments as he condemned US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s visit to the colonial settlement of Psagot, located near al-Bireh and Ramallah cities, whose vineyards are partially built on stolen private Palestinian land.
He called on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to assume its responsibilities and implement its resolutions, especially UNSC Resolution 2334, which was passed with the approval of the former US administration.
