RAMALLAH, April 8, 2012 (WAFA) – Al-Quds newspaper front page story Sunday highlighted Israeli raid of Eshel prison, injuring 10 prisoners and setting the prison’s administration on high alert.
Al-Hayyat al-Jadida focused on the Italian Prime Minister, Mario Monti’s visit to the Palestinian Territory and Israel, affirming his country’s commitment to achieve peace and end the Arab-Israeli conflict.
The daily featured an interview with Monti, during which he said that the Two-State solution will guarantee Palestinians’ rights; above all the right to self-determination.
Al-Ayyam featured Kadima leader, Shaul Mofaz’s interview with the New York Times newspaper, stating that he would 'respond to 100% of the territorial demands of the Palestinians if elected Prime Minister.”
It reported on the escalating wave of violence in Syria, which resulted in the killing of 160 Syrians; 87 of whom are civilians in one day.
