PRAGUE, Czech, September 27, 2011 (WAFA) – Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic Tuesday witnessed a mass demonstration in support of the Palestinian bid to united nations.

The demonstration was organized by the Palestine solidarity committee in corporation with member of the Palestinian committee and the embassy of Palestine in Prague.

Protesters raised the Palestinian flags and chanted slogans condemning the Israeli occupation and demanding to accept Palestine as a full member in the UN.

A large number of Czech citizens, including several political and cultural figures as well as the Czech academy signed a statement calling upon the Czech government to vote in favor of Palestine in the UN for the sake of peace and stability in the region.
