RAMALLAH, March 27, 2011 (WAFA)- Hasan Abu Lebdeh, minister of national economy and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ)  country director in the  Palestinian Territory, Andrea Joras,  signed on Sunday a project agreement , to support the Palestinian private sector.

The project  will be implemented by the GIZ , private sector institutions and ministry of national economy.

The project aims to create a suitable environment for the business sector, and raise the capacity of the ministry of national economy and its infrastructure, in order to improve their ability in providing services to the public, as well as to provide the objective conditions in order to activate women’s participation in the national Economy.

The project is funded with nine million Euros, for three years, by the (BMZ) Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Canadian Agency for International Development.

It will be implemented with the private sector institutions including chambers of commerce, agriculture and  industry, the General Union of Palestinian Industries, the Palestinian commercial center and other institutions.
