TEL AVIV, July 1, 2010 (WAFA)- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, today, that he is willing to approve the deal presented by the German mediator to free 1000 Palestinian prisoners in exchange of of the release of Gilad Shalit, Ynet news reported.
However, he continued on saying that he would not agree to their return to the West Bank, adding that no response was received from Hamas’ Part, according to Ynet.
The State of Israel is willing to pay a heavy price for the release of Shalit, but it cannot say 'at any price,' the site reported Netanyahu saying.
Gilad Shalit was captured on June 25, 2006 and has been held in Hamas’ custody since then.
