RAMALLAH, May 9, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian man was seriously injured in the head on Saturday following an attack by Israeli colonists in the Balqa area near the town of Al-Auja, north of Jericho.
WAFA correspondent, citing the Al-Baydar human rights organization, reported that dozens of colonists stormed the vicinity of the Bedouin community and assaulted residents inside their homes, leaving Mohammad Ghawanmeh critically injured. He was transferred to hospital for treatment.
The organization said that the attack is part of a series of repeated attacks by colonist attacks targeting Bedouin communities in the area, aimed at forcing them to leave their lands.
