HEBRON, May 9, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian man was injured on Saturday after being assaulted by Israeli colonists in Tel Ma'in, near the town of Yatta, south of Hebron.
Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhameh told WAFA that colonists from settlements built on Palestinian land east of Yatta stormed the archaeological site of Tel Ma'in in the village of Al-Karmel, east of Yatta, heavily armed, and attacked farmers and shepherds.
He said the colonists severely beat farmer Muhammad Abdul Hamid Hamamdeh while he was harvesting his crops, causing him bruises.
Colonists also forced farmers and shepherds to leave their land and verbally abused them during the attack.
