JERUSALEM, May 9, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists on Saturday prevented several Palestinian farmers from plowing their lands in the town of Beit Iksa, northwest of occupied Jerusalem.
Resident Abdul Karim ‘Ajaj told WAFA that several residents headed to their lands in the morning to carry out plowing work when colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, attacked them and forced them to leave the area.
‘Ajaj said the targeted lands are located in areas that have been repeatedly subjected to colonists’ attacks in attempts to seize them.
Farmers from the town said that colonists’ attacks have escalated in recent weeks, increasingly aimed at preventing them from accessing and cultivating their lands, as part of a policy of restrictions intended to empty the lands surrounding the colonies of their Palestinian owners.
They added that such attacks are frequently carried out under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, which prevent residents from defending their property.
