GAZA, May 9, 2026 (WAFA) – The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza has risen to 72,736, with 172,535 injured since the war began on October 7, 2023, according to medical sources.
They reported that hospitals across Gaza received five fatalities and 15 injuries over the past 24 hours.
They added that the total number of Palestinians killed since the start of the ceasefire on October 11, 2025, has reached 850, while injuries have risen to 2,433. In addition, 770 bodies have been recovered from under the rubble.
Medical teams also said that several victims remain trapped under debris and on roads, as ambulance and rescue crews are still unable to reach them due to ongoing conditions on the ground.
