BUENOS AIRES,  June 2, 2010 (WAFA)- The Government of Argentina condemned the attack perpetrated in international waters by Israeli forces against 'Freedom Flotilla', which was carrying humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip.

The Republic of Argentina deeply regretted the loss of human lives produced in this episode and calls for carrying out a complete and exhaustive investigation of the facts.

Argentina makes expressed a strong call for the immediate cessation of acts of violence that worsen the situation in the Middle East and the lifting of the blockade to the Gaza population, allowing the free movement of people and the entry of humanitarian aid to the region.

Argentina urged the strict observance of the international humanitarian law and the resolutions of the United Nations conducive to the achievement of a just and lasting peace in the region.”
