JERUSALEM, May 5, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Tuesday.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that dozens of colonists entered the mosque in groups through the Mughrabi Gate, conducting provocative tours of its courtyards and performing Talmudic rituals, including prostration.

The Governorate added that these incursions come amid warnings of an escalation led by so-called "Temple Mount" organizations, in cooperation with figures in the occupation government, aimed at orchestrating large-scale incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday, May 15, 2026. This move has been described as dangerous, intended to alter the historical and legal status quo within the mosque and undermine its religious significance.
