JENIN, May 5, 2026 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Education and Higher Education confirmed a serious violation in which a colonist stormed the grounds of the Silat al-Dahr Basic School for Boys II, affiliated with the Qabatiya Education Directorate, and threatened to close the school. This act of aggression directly targets the educational process.

The Ministry explained that this incursion comes within the context of escalating violations against schools, universities, and educational institutions, including intimidation, harassment, and attempts to impose a reality that restricts students' right to safe access to their schools.

It stressed that the threat to close the school constitutes a serious infringement on the sanctity of educational institutions and a violation of the right to education guaranteed by international laws and conventions. It called on human rights and international organizations to intervene urgently to stop these violations and hold the perpetrators accountable.
