RAMALLAH, May 23, 2010 (WAFA)- Over a hundred settlers embarked on establishing an outpost on the land allocated to building the city of Al-Rawabi near Ramallah.

The settlers decided to stay in the settlement day and night to protest the establishment of the Palestinian new city of Al-Rawabi.

A settler responsible for the establishment of the outpost near Al-Rawabi said lands belonging to the settlement, according to his claim, will be seized.  He added that the settlers would build a new outpost in the area to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian city.

Hundreds of settlers had demonstrated on Friday against the establishment of the city.

The city of Al-Rawabi will be the first city established in the territory of the Palestinian National Authority. It is scheduled to finish its establishment in 2014, and its cost is estimated to be $700 million.
