Diliani: Settlers' Rally in Jerusalem is State Sponsored Provocation

JERUSALEM, April 23, 2010 (WAFA)- Fateh's Revolutionary Council Member, Dimitri Diliani said today that Israeli government's permission for extreme right wing colonial Settlers to organize a hostile rally on Sunday in Silwan neighborhood in Occupied East Jerusalem is a state sponsored provocation of instability to undermine the visit of Special US envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell to Israel and Palestine.

Diliani added that the government of Israel has made its position clear through a number of public statements by Prime Minister Netanyahu, Foreign Minister Lieberman and other officials that Israel will not adhere to International Law and will continue colonial settlement building in Occupied Palestinian Territories including East Jerusalem.  Such a position, Diliani commented, is defiance to the world and an obvious expression of plans to continue infringement on Palestinian Human and National rights.

The Fateh official indicated that the State of Israel aims through its cooperation with extremist colonial settler groups in provoking instability in the Occupied City of Jerusalem to insert a sham security element into the current political scene. Such an element in Israel's perspective, Diliani stressed, would open a window of opportunity for its anti-peace government to escape international political pressures resulting from it's ideologically driven expansionist colonial policies in Occupied Palestinian Territories.

Diliani assured Palestinian commitment to non-violent resistance in facing existential dangers imposed by the Israeli military occupation of East Jerusalem.
