RAMALLAH, March 11, 2010 (WAFA)- Palestinian Journalist Syndicate (PJS) celebrated the International Women’s Day in the West Bank City of Ramallah.
In its first activity, PJS Secretary General Abdul Nasser Najjar appreciated the role of the female journalist in Palestine, hailing its steadfastness against hard conditions imposed by Israeli occupation.
In mean time Najjar along Mrs. Khoulod Atari member of PJS Secretariat General handed local female media professionals who attended the ceremony flowers, as a sign of gratitude of their role in the Palestinian civil society .
Local female media professionals, representing various local media outlets, attended the ceremony, which included an open discussion on the current status of female media professionals. Participants were granted the opportunity to introduce themselves and exchange their experiences on issues, concerns, and obstacles facing them in the media institutions.
