JERUSALEM, April 27, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces carried out arrests and detentions overnight and into Monday in the area north of Jerusalem, targeting the Qalandia refugee camp and the nearby town of Kafr Aqab.
Security sources told WAFA that Israeli troops stormed the town of Kafr Aqab and Qalandiya camp, raided the home of released prisoner Ashraf Ammar, and arrested his father to pressure him to surrender.
The same sources added that approximately 30 residents from Qalandiya camp were detained. Troops reportedly stormed a residential building, evacuated its occupants and turned it into a military post.
