RAMALLAH, December 27, 2009 (WAFA)- Palestinian Central Bureau Of Statistics (PCBS) said Sunday Road Cost Index (RCI) increased by 0.95% in the West Bank (Excluding those parts of Jerusalem which were annexed by Israel in 1967) in November 2009 Compared with the Previous Month (December 2008=100).
Analysis of Road Cost developments for November indicates an increase in the cost of the following major groups: Asphalt & bitumen mixture & its products by 3.63%; Cement by 0.35% and Cement products by 0.31%.
On the other hand, there was a decrease in the cost of the following major groups: Iron and steel by 2.19%; Plastic products by 0.72% and Quarries and quarrying products by 0.05%.
PCBS said data of Gaza Strip is not available, due to the closure of PCBS’ offices in Gaza Strip since 15/04/2008.
