BEIRUT, April 23, 2026 (WAFA) – Three Lebanese were killed and others injured on Thursday evening in Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon, in continued violation of a ceasefire announced last week by U.S. President Donald Trump between Lebanon and Israel.
According to the Lebanese National News Agency, Israeli drones targeted a civilian vehicle with a missile on the Nabatieh–Choukine road, setting it ablaze. The Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health later confirmed that three people were killed in the strike.
The report added that Israeli artillery shelled the town of Yater in the Bint Jbeil district, injuring two civilians, including a child. Shelling also targeted the town of Khiam, amid reports of heavy machine gun fire in the area.
