Israeli attacks continue in southern Lebanon, despite ceasefire

BEIRUT, April 24, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces continued their attacks on southern Lebanon despite an ongoing ceasefire that began on April 16 for ten days and was extended at midnight for an additional three weeks.

According to the Lebanese National News Agency, Israeli forces carried out two explosions in the town of Khiam. Israeli warplanes also targeted a home in the town of Touline at dawn, followed by artillery shelling of the area.

Airstrikes were also reported on the town of Khirbet Selm, while additional raids struck the outskirts of Majdal Zoun in the Tyre district, as well as the Rihan Heights overnight.

Meantime, Israeli forces continue to carry out attacks and issue threats against areas in southern Lebanon, in ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement.
