RAMALLAH, June 09, 2008, (WAFA)-Prime Minister Salam Fayyad said on Monday that Israeli officials informed Yesterday the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) that they have transferred delayed tax revenues, adding but the PNA has not received them so far.
Fayyad told reporters during his visit to high schools in Ramallah that if the tax revenues reach, the PNA will pay the salaries of around 150,000 civil servants, who have not received their May wages yet.
Fayyad added that he was told the money was sent on Saturday, but he expected it to come through by Tuesday.
Israel was meant to transfer the tax revenue, around $74 million dollars (€47 million) at the end of last month to Palestinians, as a part of an agreement between both sides.
