President Holds Talks with The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques

JEDDAH, June 08, 2008, (WAFA)-President Mahmoud Abbas held on Sunday talks with The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

President updated the king on his initiative on the comprehensive national dialogue and the latest developments in the Palestinian territories as well as obstacles that hinder progress in the Palestinian –Israeli negotiations.

The two leaders also discussed the developments of the Palestinian issue, continued aggressions of Israeli forces on the Palestinian people and the necessity of achieving a just and comprehensive peace that leads to the establishment of an independent state on their national land with Al-Quds as its capital.

 The meeting was attended by Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister and Prince Abdulaziz bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Cabinet's Member and Chief of the Court of Cabinet's Presidency, while from the Palestinian side was attended by Presidency Spokesperson Nabil Abu Rdeina and ambassador to kingdom Jamal al-Shoubaki.
