Amnesty International: Human Rights Situation in Occupied Palestinian Territories Very Dire

WASHINGTON, June 07, 2008, (WAFA)-Amnesty International, International human rights group criticized Israel’s treatment of the Palestinian people.

 In its 2008 releasing report , it said that ' the human rights situation in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories remained dire.'

The report, which looked at human rights in 150 countries, said that more than 900 Palestinians were being held in Israeli jails without charge or trial.

It also stated that increasing number of Palestinians died because they were prevented from leaving Gaza and entering Israel for medical attention.
