President Abbas: We Reject Israeli Settlements

 

RAMALLAH, June 04, 2008, (WAFA)-President Mahmoud Abbas said on Wednesday that Jerusalem is nonnegotiable at the time it is swallowing daily, affirming complete rejection of settlements in the occupied Jerusalem.

 

This came as President chaired the cabinet meeting in Ramallah. President added that the issue of settlements was at the top agenda of the meeting with Israeli PM, where I assured him and his Foreign Minister our complete rejection to Israeli settlements procedures in Jerusalem.

 

'If Israelis want serious negotiations ,they must stop settlements, release prisoners and remove all road blocks, adding that we will continue our security and economical efforts to achieve our goal,' President said.

 

As for the state of calm, President said that we called for a calm many times and from all parties so as our people in the Gaza Strip enjoy stability and live normally.

 

As for the internal situation, President said that we are with a national solution for the sake of national unity, adding this is not tactic but we insist to restore the unity of homeland.
